Why I Like Making Things

A short note about why stories, art, and recipes all feel connected when you are making them with care.

I like making things because every project starts as a tiny idea and becomes something real.

A story becomes a place you can visit. A painting becomes a mood you can hold still for a while. A recipe becomes something people gather around together. Even though they look different, they all begin the same way: with curiosity.

Sometimes the best part is the finished piece. Sometimes the best part is the middle, when you are still trying things out and discovering what works.

That middle part can be messy, but it is also where the surprises live.
